1. Next club
trip
The
next club trip will be on 12th March for the game against Dunfermline. The bus
has been ordered and confirmed. Phil highlighted the fact that, at present,
only 15 names had been forwarded to him and John Parsons highlighted the fact
only 3 people had paid to date. This was deemed wholly inappropriate and the
club stands
to lose approx £300 on bus fees alone. However, it was voted upon, with
members present, that the bus should run as expected. The bus will depart from the Emerald
at
2. Jackie McNamara testimonial (29/05/05)
Tickets are now on sale to season book holders for the testimonial of jackie McNamara against Ireland select X1. Phil was wondering how many members, if any, would want to go on such a trip. However, as there a few months between now and then, the people present agreed that we should wait for a while to guage member opinion.
3. Future Trip/Last Game Of The Season
The club are planning to run a bus to the Aberdeen match on 16/04. Deadline for names and monies will be saturday 02/04. It was agreed that a flyer would go out with membership cards to advertise this game to members.
4. South Of England Association
There are initial plans to form a south of england association to assist clubs in the region to gain fair access to match tickets on european nights/rangers games, through Celtic Park. There is a meeting on easter saturday (26th March) in Cheltenham @ 12:30 if anyone would like to attend. Nobody present at the meeting could attend but it was felt by all present to purchase some tickets @ £10 each.
5. Membership card
updates
Membership card (wscsc) were delayed from going out with recent newsletter as the emerald club did not have theirs ready in time. WSCSC committee apologises for the late arrival of these cards and would sincerley hope this does not happen again. When available cards would be sent out at their earliest convenience.
Karl agreed to take some pics of the new white club polo shirt and place them ont he website to generate a bit more interest in them. There are a number of tops left and the committee feel it necessary to push their sale to members and the like.
7. Treasurer
Report
The current balance is approximately £2400. Recent raffles have been going well, bringing in £724 profit so far this season in comparison with £622 last year.
8. Mick Murphy
It was with regret that the committee announced a recent heart scare for our bus convenor (Mick Murphy). Luckily (if we can call it that), when the heart attack happened Mick was working on-site at Russell's Hall hospital, where he has stayed for a week and was due to be released imminently. Mick will require some recuperation time and the club sincerely hope he is back on his feet and fighting fit asap.
