1. Previous club trip
It was stated that it was a very enjoyable trip and all members and non members on board were, in general, a credit to the club. It was also stated that the club lost approximately £200 due to the lack of members/non members on the bus. The general feeling of the meeting was that the club could not continue to carry such losses.
It was therefore agreed to raise the cost of future trips as follows:
Adult members £25, junior members £15,
Adult non members £30, junior non members £20.
This price rise will be monitored and hopefully the club will revert to its original prices if the response from members improves.

It was also mentioned by Theresa that some people had purchased offensive books at the service station, and with ladies and children travelling on the bus, that this was not acceptable. It was agreed by all that this was a valid and important point and that a section in the next newsletter will highlight that this material on the bus is not acceptable and will also be mentioned in the itinerary on the next bus.

2. Next club trip
It was declared the next club trip would be on the 29th November which is the “Glasgow” derby v Patrick. Due to John Parson being unavailable during the month of November it was decided on this occasion full deposits should be sent to Phil Kelly. Once again it was stated that no money should be handed over on the day of the game, and the deadline for names and deposits would be the 19th of November.
A club decision will be made on this date as to whether the trip will be viable enough to be run, all expressed a hope it would be. When discussing the next trip after this, it was discovered it would be late January, a few people said this was too far away. At this, Phil Kelly pointed out, the meeting at the start of the season the game on the 29th of November had been voted for and that he himself had voted against this game in favour of the game on 13th of December.

3. Race night
Race night this Friday, and it was hoped it would be supported by ALL our members, as this was an excellent was of raising money for the club. It was also agreed the club, if need be on Friday, would purchase £50’s worth of horses.

4. Newsletter/Photos
Phil thanked Karl for his work on producing the newsletter and it was discussed that in the next Newsletter there maybe photos of different events held in the Emerald, Race night, Celtic games and to maybe extend the newsletter to four pages.
Another newsletter will be out in approximately three to four weeks.

5/6 Flags, future arrangements, Raffles/Fundraising
Phil Kelly expressed a little disappointment in as much that the responsibility of sorting out flags and buying raffle prizes were again being left to him to do, when it was agreed at the start of the season that other members of the committee had agreed to take these jobs on. It was agreed that these duties return, as from this Saturday, to the committee men who volunteered to do these jobs at the said earlier meeting, Phil expressed thanks at this. It was also passed that we should have more than just one bottle of spirits as a raffle prize for future live European games at the Emerald.

7. Celtic Memorabilia
At the weekend past Phil and Roy had purchased a framed walk on print and a flag. It was agreed to put these and other pieces of Celtic memorabilia up this Thursday (30th)

8. Treasurer Update
John highlighted the loss on the last trip and agreed the price rise was needed to stop more heavy losses to the clubs finances. He also added a small loss was not a major problem. The balance at the club now stands at £1784.

9. Possible Xmas Function/End of Season function
Despite previous discussions on a Christmas function it was decided it was really too late to organise. It was decided that an end of season function would be more viable as this would give all who intended to assist time to get cost of Bands and sort out dates etc.
It was also discussed to still have a get together before Christmas for a drink and that a bowling night maybe organised for those who are interested.

10. Next live games at the Emerald
Next live games will be Saturday 1st of November v Kilmarnock and Wednesday 5th of November v Anderlecht, it was hoped the excellent attendances at these games will continue.

11. Next Meeting
It was decided the next meeting would be held on Monday 17th of November, this will give the committee time to assess if the planned club trip will go ahead.
