Membership Renewals

Phil requested people to return forms and subscriptions as soon as possible in light of the first trip being on the 03/08/02. So far only a small number of people have paid their membership fees.

Season Tickets

The club has managed to obtain 10 season tickets. Members obtaining these are Peter Willis (5), Roy Simpson, Ross Campbell, Stephen Thornton and the club also purchased two books which are available to club members......this the commitee feel is an excellent start in the quest to get more season books within the club, although the season books purchased do not contain tickets for the two rangers games, having these books means european match tickets can be purchased and also cup match tickets, and hopefully next season the club and its members will be offered full season books. Thanks to Phil for all of his efforts.

Dunfermline Club Trip 3rd August 2002

The Celtic Ticket Services office has notified Phil that we will receive our requested allocation of 25 tickets, priced at £24 each, This may prove difficult to sell as we are now in possession of nine Season Ticket books. In the event of the club being allocated 25 tickets per game for the rest of the season we may ask the Ticket Office to reduce our allocation. Some members said they would be able to sell some of the tickets so the issue might resolve itself. With regard to the coach transport and seats being taken this does not seem to be a problem with numbers expected to be around the 35 mark. Peter Willis and Phil to visit the Coach Company to view facilities offered later this week.

Coach Journey

Pick Up New Inn 5.45 am
Pick Up Seamus O’Donnells 6.00 am

Leave Celtic Association 7.00 pm

As we are unsure at this present moment in time if a Video is available on the Coach members were asked to bring tapes and Stephen to bring 67 European Cup Final Video plus World Huddle Video, just in case. Usual quiz to be set by Peter and Stephen.

All other aspects of the trip to remain the same. (see web Site for itinerary)

Spurs August 7th 2002

Peter Willis requested monies to be paid for tickets as soon as possible
Phil to arrange Train Tickets.

Web Site

Karl Mc Auley has carried out a revamp and is looking to provide a section for the Newsletter. He is currently liasing with Stuart Fox to try and keep the same layout/format as the printed edition members receive. Karl also requested any information that people would like to see on it forwarded to him.

Newsletter

Thanks were given to Stuart Fox for yet another superb edition. Peter Willis also commented on how other clubs such as Wim the Tim, Wakefield, Neil Lennon CSC, etc said how good the newsletter was in comparison to other clubs.

Merchandise

Stuart is currently drawing up a full price list for all available designs for both Children’s and Adults sizes. This is to be made available for the Dunfermline trip.
It was also discussed about the possibility of garments being taken to Celtic Park to sell however problems may arise with the local law enforcement due to some members suggested designs.

Any Other Business

John Magee asked if an event in the future, i.e. a live celtic match or something similar, to sell off/auction some of his left over stock from his Irish merchandise business.

Ross is leaving us for Gent this week for a 13-month stint and a leaving bash is planned for this Sunday 28th July 2002.

Champions League Draw this Friday

Date of next meeting to be advised.
