The Previous minutes were approved by the committe members who were at the meeting.
2. Next club trip - Last One Of
Season
The last club trip of
the season has been pencilled in for the game against Aberdeen
on 7th May, now that the SPL has released the fixture list following the
split. The bus is available and phil will proceed in booking it. Phil highlighted the
fact that, members
will be favoured over those with no membership as it promises to be a
fully booked trip, with any luck ! The bus is expected to depart from the Emerald
at
4. Final Newsletter of Season
Andy sutherland has agreed to get a newsletter out to members asap to highlight forthcoming events i.e. last club trip, cup final day preparations, new club polo shirt, WSCS AGM dates, etc. Phil agreed to lend a hand as time was of the essence in this instance.
5. Membership card
updates
Membership card (wscsc) are ready to send out to members as are the Emerald members cards. Some will be sent out with the next newsletter, some have already been distributed by hand at live matches, and some will follow in the post to others.
6.Feedback from Emerald AGM
Although some people within the Emerald committee raised concerns over high costs of sky sports and setanta to view celtic/gaelic games.....they do realise that it is the main way to attract new people into the club and subsequently improve turnover. Other than this, with respect to WSCSC, nothing was said, except to persuade more people to attend live matches and events held at the club. Dont forget, free parking, cheap beer, family environment...what more do we want?
7. Cup Final Day
As Celtic are once again into the final of the Tennants Scottish Cup it was thought to make a day of it and enjoy the occassion. As such, on Saturday 28th May there will be music, food and generally good craic to watch celtic pick up their final piece of silverware of the season.
8. AGM
Having consulted with Tom Mc Atee, with regards to availability of the emerald function room, it was agreed by all the the WSCSC 2005 AGM will be held on Sunday 12th june at 1PM. As ever your attendance is very welcomed and there will eb chance to elect new committee members should you not be happy with the current people.
9. Treasurer
Report
The current balance is approximately £2150. Recent club trip saw a loss of £330 which is completely unacceptable in terms of expenditure, but the committee honestly cannot fathom out why supporters do not wish to come on our bus?.
