1. Race Night

Phil commented that it was a poor turnout by our own members and once again stressed the need for the support of the members in fund raising activities such as the race night, as this is an ideal way to raise money for the club to keep cost of trips to Glasgow as low as possible.
Despite the lack of members attending the total raised by the night was almost £1,000 with half each going to St Mary’s GAA club and our own club.

2. Next Trip

Initial response to this trip was slow, but trip definitely going ahead as we have enough numbers at present to run a bus.
Phil Kelly stated once again that no monies will be collected on the day of trip; therefore any outstanding cash/cheques must be sent to him without delay.

3. Newsletter

The newsletter was sent out last week by Phil, and Phil thanked Karl for all his efforts in producing and printing the Newsletter within three days.

4. Flags, re previous meeting

It was asked if club flag was put up at last European game as discussed at last meeting, it wasn’t, a general discussion took place to see if we are going to put it up for next game and leave it up, this was agreed to be the best solution.

5. Student rates, membership/club trips

Karl and Phil recently discussed with some students from the nearby university the idea of some of them going up to Celtic Park, but were a little put off by the costs. It was then discussed that a new price structure should be introduced to tap into the many Irish and Scottish students who study at local educational facilities.
It was agreed by all that Memberships should be offered at £5 instead of the usual £10 and that the cost of the bus be £15 instead of the normal £25.
Karl has agreed to produce some small flyers to advertise this and we plan to have them for the next European game which has attracted quite a few new faces in the past and therefore potential new members

6. Request by Member to hold next raffle (Bayern Munich) in aid of New Cross Hospital

Phil was contacted by Frank Quinn, one of our members, to ask if on behalf of New Cross hospital hold the next raffle with all monies taken going to New Cross. Phil told Frank he will discuss it with the Committee, it was discussed and all agreed this was fine. Phil had contacted Frank by text to ask if he would like to appear at meeting to inform committee of why he wanted to raise money, or to let Phil know more by phone. Neither of these occurred so we will await further news from Frank.

7. Website, revamp ideas?

Karl is going to give the website a “makeover” and asked for any suggestions or idea’s, to be met with blank faces, Karl to carry on with revamp regardless.

8. Treasurer Update

In the absence of our treasurer John Parson, Phil announced that there was approximately £1700 in the bank, but money from race night still to be banked, so club in a fairly healthy situation despite the recent losses on trips to Glasgow.

9. Next live games

Saturday 22nd of November and Tuesday 25th of November, all as ever encouraged to attend.

10. Christmas Informal get together, any ideas?

It was decided to have a small informal drink/ get together after the live game on Saturday 6th of December, as always the more the merrier.

11. Next Meeting

Although not a lot to discuss, due to next club trip, after next week, will be late in January, it was decided to have a quick meeting before the live game on 20th of December, primarily to discuss any plans for old firm game on Jan 3rd 2004.
