Letter from Alexis at Celtic Ticket Services, and its consequences

It was noted that we must inform Celtic of the number of tickets required and for what games by the 13th July 2002. All tickets are now being dealt with directly by Celtic Ticket Services. Below is a list of questions that have been sent to Celtic with regard to tickets and some of the problems we as a club may encounter.

Tickets At Celtic FC

1: Selection of Matches

My thoughts are the big games like Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen will be subject to a large allocation request. Hence lesser league matches will be under subscribed.
Irish Clubs will look to block book these games as per last year will they be given preference?
How do we look to pick games based on last season’s trips?
How would we ask for Cup Games - do we ask for tickets in advance and hope we are at Home?
Champion’s League Games - will Clubs get preferential treatment if they attend more games
I won’t even mention the Rangers games - or will you have to ask and see what transpires?
Do we have to pay Celtic up front for matches selected?

2:Number of Tickets required

Do we ask for 20 tickets and hope we sell them all, I am sure that we would be able to sell them at Celtic Park.
Will there be a check system to see if clubs have asked for 30 tickets and only 20 are used say each ticket has WSCSC printed or stamped on it and then they are cross-referenced I think not maybe due to administration requirements.
Even if we ask for 20 tickets we may not get these as 51000 season ticket holders 1000 away fans 6000 Huddle Club members this will only leave 2000 tickets for Supporters clubs.

3:Members wishing to attend

How do we collect money do we ask for 4-week rule to be enforced like we tried last year?
If members ask for a ticket it must be like last year money paid in advance perhaps if members cannot attend then the club keeps say £ 5.00 due to being messed about?
We will be over subscribed for the big games as mentioned in point 1.
Rangers?
If members join the Huddle Club and target the same matches as the Club - duplication of tickets.
Could help us to get more tickets, as we would of block booked an amount.

4:Travel Arrangements

Virgin Trains – September - do we block book the train tickets thus reducing the cost of travel.
How do we run a bus and, more so, how can we book it? What will the cost to members be if we only get 15 tickets if we ask for 25. Options May include:
Cars same day trip
Train return
Overnight
Mini Bus’s
Who will drive?

5:Television
Games moved due to Sky or STV or who ever takes rights to live games
Matches changed to midweek due to Cup-Ties

6:Amalgamation with other clubs Re Travel

7:Sharing tickets with other clubs
