MINUTES OF THE WOLVERHAMPTON SHAMROCK CELTIC SUPPORTERS' CLUB MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, 17TH APRIL 2002 AT THE NEW INN, WOLVERHAMPTON

1. Minutes of last meeting

The minutes of the last committee meeting were read and accepted as a true record.

2. Tickets for Celtic V Rangers 21/04/02

Phil confirmed that the club will get an allocation of tickets for this match but at the time of the meeting the number of tickets was unknown. Phil had received approximately 12 applications for tickets from members. In the event of receiving fewer tickets than requested, tickets will be allocated to members who have been to the most matches over the season.

3. Tickets for Next Season

Phil raised the possibility of the club and individuals being able to buy season tickets for the forthcoming season. Names, addresses and blank cheques should be sent to Phil by the end of the week from individuals wishing to purchase a season book through the club. The committee voted unanimously for the club to apply for two season tickets.

Phil commented on the problems encountered this season with the club receiving poor ticket allocations for some matches and at other times receiving notification of tickets at very short notice leading to problems organising club trips.

4. Member Exclusion

One club member has been asked to source tickets from somewhere else in future after comments and behaviour at the recent Livingston match. The club will no longer act on his behalf to obtain tickets or to arrange transport to Glasgow for matches.

5. Travel Arrangements

The club will need to look for an alternative coach company next season as Dunline will no longer be available to us. Steve Thornton agreed to oversee travel arrangements for next season.

6. AGM

This years AGM will be held on Sunday 12th May at 2pm at the New Inn, Bilston Road, Wolverhampton. Peter will send out a newsletter advertising the AGM. Any contributions to the newsletter should be forwarded to Peter ASAP.

7. End of Season Function

It was agreed that the club would hold an end of season function on Friday 31st of May at the New Inn. Phil agreed to arrange entertainment and Stuart offered to produce flyers and tickets for the event. A buffet will be laid on.

A raffle will be held at the function and Phil made an appeal to all club members for raffle prizes to be donated.

8.Membership Cards

Stuart confirmed that the membership cards have been produced and sent to the committee although for some reason these have not yet been received. It was decided to now wait until next season to reprint the cards.

9. Date and time of next meeting

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 1st May at the New Inn. The main purpose of the meeting will be to agree an agenda for the forthcoming AGM
