PRESENT:

Committee Members:

Non-committee Members:

Apologies:

1. The future of the club

Peter Willis expressed fears over the future of the club due to the poor response to the last proposed trip and the lack of a club base now that Sky matches are screened on Saturday evenings when generally Seamus O'Donnells is not available to us. His proposal to definitely run a bus to the next game on Saturday 9th February Vs Dunfermline was discussed and accepted unanimously. Phil expressed concern at the number of tickets the club was likely to receive as ticket services are operating a ballot for tickets.

Due to sky changing SPL matches to a Saturday evening the committee recognised the lack of a permanent and consistent base for the club and the probable effect this has had on members' involvement in club business and trips. It was agreed that Peter and Phil would explore possible solutions to this problem.

Phil suggested that open meetings should be held monthly to encourage participation of members. These will be advertised via the newsletter and website.

2. Membership Cards

Stuart Fox presented three possible designs for the membership card which the committee voted on. The cards will be produced by Stuart and distributed in the next newsletter.

3. Newsletter

Peter stated that the next newsletter will be sent out by the end of the week. Stuart and Peter again appealed for contributions to the newsletter from members.

4. Distribution of tickets for priority matches

This matter was raised following complaints by some members of the club following the last Rangers game. The issue of how to fairly distibute tickets when demand exceeds the number received was debated by the committee but no formal conclusions were reached. The matter will be debated at further meetings.

5. Fanzine subscription

It was agreed by the committee that the club would take out a subscription to "More than 90 minutes" fanzine for 10 copies.

6. Bus entertainment

Peter commented that the entertainment on the bus during the last trip to Celtic Park had been very repetitive. It was suggested that brief meetings should be held a week before the next trip to plan the bus entertainment and to ensure a varied selection of music and videos.

7. Matters Arising/ Any other business

No further items were proposed for discussion therefore Peter closed the meeting.

8. Date and time of next meeting

The next meeting was arranged for 8:00pm, Monday 4th February at the Emerald Club.
