1. Minutes of last meeting

The minutes of the last committee meeting were read and accepted as a true record.

2. Next Club Trip

The next club trip will be on Saturday 14th September against Hibs. The club has been allocated 18 tickets for this match plus the nine season tickets held within the club.

The response so far for this match has been poor once again making it difficult for Phil and Steve to make travel arrangements. The need for deadlines for deposits was discussed in order to give the club a realistic amount of time to make the necessary and appropriate arrangements for the trip. It was decided that a deadline of two weeks before the match should be imposed for names and full payment to be made. If there is any difficulty paying the full cost at this time but the member has a definite intention to travel then alternative payment arrangements may be made individually with either John Parsons or Phil.

For future trips the departure time from Glasgow will be 6.00pm.

3. Ticket allocation for future games

The number of tickets requested for future matches will be reviewed following the next trip. Tickets will continue to be distributed on a “first come, first served” basis.

There are now a number of season tickets held within the club and these may be available if members want to go to matches not targeted by the club. Anyone interested should speak to Phil or Peter.

4. Newsletter

A newsletter will go out prior to the next Old Firm game containing details of future trips and changes to payment deadlines.

5. Membership update and plans for recruitment

The next committee meeting will be advertised in local Wolverhampton newspapers in the week commencing 30th September. Anyone wishing to become a member of the club will be most welcome to the meeting.

6. Merchandise and Membership Cards

The committee has not received any further information regarding membership card or merchandise from Stuart Fox.

7. Social Events

Jimmy Johnstone, along with other Lisbon Lions will be in Coventry on the 27th September for a social evening. Tickets are priced at £10. If there is sufficient interest the club will run a bus. Anyone interested in going should give names to Phil ASAP. A flyer will go out to all members advertising this event.

The club still intends to organise a race night to raise funds for the club but as yet no date has been finalised.

8. Web-site

A new section advertising club merchandise and enabling members to order on-line is ready to go onto the web-site if Stuart makes progress on the merchandise front.

9. Any other business

There was no other business for discussion.

10. Date and Time of Next Meeting

The next committee meeting will be held on Wednesday 9th October at 8.00 in the New Inn. All welcome to attend.
